Hollis was absolutely incredible! Hands down the best service I’ve ever received when buying a mattress. He was so attentive, especially knowing I’m 8 months pregnant, and even cautioned me that because bodies change so much during pregnancy, I might not feel the same about the bed after giving birth. Since my fiancé and I needed a bed now, he was extremely accommodating and guided us with care. He listened to all of our concerns, answered every question, and made the process stress-free. If I could rate him 100,000/10, I would! Highly recommend this store. Service like this is truly unmatched.

I’m so happy to have found this mattress store! The best experience we’ve ever had buying a bed. They have a lot of inventory to choose from in every price range, and Hollice was a great help. Super knowledgeable and helpful, and he somehow knew exactly which mattresses to direct us to try, helping us to not get overwhelmed. We can take forever making decisions so that was a great help lol. Very comfortable buying from them, no uneasy or unsure feelings. Very honest, friendly and easy-going atmosphere and our new mattress is awesome!

Austin natural mattress is by far one of the most inviting and most well run mattress stores in Austin. Management and staff there is extremely knowledgeable about sleeping needs, and the space is very warm and plenty of samples to try. Hollis helped me find exactly what I needed and was extremely thorough and thoughtful. We have now bought multiple mattresses and mattress toppers as well as a pillow from the store and I can assure you that these are A+ extremely high-quality mattresses.

The selection in this store is 11/10. Natural and organic mattresses at reasonable prices for every type of sleeper! While the selection and store itself is wonderful, what really makes the experience is the service. Hollis, specifically, knows his stuff!!! My wife and I visited recently to learn about some of their organic mattresses. We met with a sales clerk who was very friendly and informative, not pushy or focused on making a sale. He shared a lot of information with us and answered our questions clearly. While trying out mattresses, we really liked the pillows we were using. The sales clerk offered to sell us two pillows for the price of one! We took him up on it and even though we didn't end up getting a mattress here we are very happy with our pillow purchase.

The best experience anyone could hope for when buying a new mattress and a few extras.The day I went, store hours varied from what Google listed. Even though they were technically closed, Hollis still helped me out. We also up-sold ourselves on some fabulous pillows. New mattress hasn’t been delivered yet, so I will update after delivery.Update: Delivery was today, and it was absolutely perfect. Good communication (via text) with a time window, and another text when they were 15-20 minutes away. Good information was given the day before about how to prepare for delivery. Everything went smoothly. The 2 delivery men were professional and knowledgeable.There was some unexpected trouble fitting the new king box spring into my pre-existing king bed frame. But the delivery guys fixed the problem by unscrewing one side of the our (pre-existing) metal frame from the headboard and moving the hole over about an inch to create more space for the width of the avocado box spring. It is confusing how our old king sized sealy box spring had fit in the frame, but the frame was initially about an inch too narrow for the king sized avocado box spring.I appreciate that they fixed the problem without any extra charge or delay.And I had my first nap on my new mattress this afternoon. Heavenly.

So far so good! We’ve been looking a really good mattress and read the reviews on this place and decided to go check it out. We spoke with Hollis and tried out several mattresses before we found the one was that perfect for both me and my wife. We also tried several other stores and mattress including Saatva and the Purple mattresses. Ultimately liked the service and the product here the best. The shopping experience was pretty awesome. The folks at Austin Natural Mattress transformed my bedroom from torture chamber to sanctuary. My bed is now a place of rejuvenation and peace. And I love it!! We got the Naturepedic Eos Pillowtop, and it has truly been life changing. My partner went with plush coils. I got the firm coils, medium natural latex (no chemical off-gassing), then soft on top. Both on the same bed: The bed is modular and capable of accommodating a perfect balance of cush and support for your individual needs. They're fantastic, have made everything better and you deserve one too!

Disappointing and Unprofessional Service.One star is generous for the service at this store. While they offer appealing products, the staff’s rudeness made purchasing impossible. This review focuses solely on the service, not the products.Upon entering, I spotted an item I was interested in. Almost immediately, an employee shouted, “Can I help you?” twice from the back, in a tone that felt more confrontational than welcoming. I approached and explained I needed a mattress topper or new mattress to soften our overly firm Avocado mattress. The employee, still seated at the desk, asked for specifics about our mattress model but offered little help. He then took a lengthy phone call, ignoring me.When my husband and daughter arrived, we provided the mattress details, but the employee remained dismissive, self-absorbed, and uninformative. He assumed he understood our needs without listening and refused to discuss product options. Frustrated by his attitude, my husband suggested we leave, and we did.This experience was deeply disappointing, and I cannot recommend this store based on their unprofessional.

Charles was very knowledgeable about the product (Avocado) and seemed very honest and willing to share his own experiences with different products in the store. We expected to get a better price from the brand online but we actually ended up with a better deal by shopping locally at Austin Natural Mattress. They also match the brand's return policy if needed so overall they definitely had the more competitive and customer-friendly offering. I'm glad we went into the store to try the products in person because it ultimately influenced our decision. It was a bonus that we ended up walking out with a better deal than expected. Had been looking at mattresses for a while and stopped into Austin Natural Mattress on a Saturday to have a look. Met with Charles and looked at several models and took notes and was headed to next place to look at what they had to offer. We ended up going across the street to eat and think about it and ended up coming right back in and buying. Charles was EXTREMELY helpful, laid back, and great to work with. If you come here and see Charles, you are in good hands. Mattress was delivered the following Thursday (the day I am writing this) and the driver was well within the time frame quoted. Couldn't be happier. We ended up getting the Avocado Green and so far so good. If you are looking for a fair deal on mattresses in a no pressure store, this is a good place to start.

Shopping for a mattress or multiple mattresses can be daunting to say the least. They can get shockingly expensive these days. It's a process I consider a "grudge purchase" : something you really don't want to spend a grip on, but you probably should: which isn't exactly the most pleasant process. I recently had to purchase multiple mattresses for a cabin property that desperately needed an update. My sister-in-law was having a laugh at my expense / the prospect of me driving around alone to try out mattresses. I found several places that were oddly, permanently closed and also ended up in a few "Mattress Firms" (which I think must be a front for something!). After a lot for frustration and some laughter, my sister-in-law suggested that I try Austin Natural mattress: that she would never shop anywhere else...When I walked into the location I was pleasantly surrounded by some very interesting music playing on their house system. It was some arcane Ween music from a somewhat obscure live album. They've been one of my favorite bands for more than a few decades now, and you don't often hear their music in a retail setting! I was greeted by a pleasant gentleman wearing a Ween T-shirt & noticed he had an inconspicuous yet somewhat prominent (and esoteric!) Ween tattoo on his calf. I knew I was in the right place. If I remember correctly Charles (the sales rep) told me he had Ween Shirts for practically every day of the year & he intended to wear a different one every day. As someone that actually followed this band on some tours back in the late 1990s: this is fascinating news that brings back a flood of fond memories. We exchanged more pleasantries about our mutual Ween fandom as I sampled the wide array of gorgeous all organic and non-chemical mattresses. They have some killer ones, and for something you spend close to 1/3 of your life on: it seems wise to get something that doesn't off-gas hydrocarbons and other chemicals as they slowly break down.After trying several really nice mattresses that ranged widely in price I settled on the Avocado all organic mattress: King sized. I didn't ever think I could afford such a luxurious item, but I somehow got in on the last minute of their Labor Day sale. As a laborer myself: I couldn't be more pleased with the process and outcome of this exchange.Several months in, and I'm sleeping more comfortably than ever. The only drawback is that traveling has become more difficult because most places don't have beds nearly as nice as mine. It was great to find what I was looking for from a local dealer that believes in protecting the environment and keeping good vibes going in the community. I would second my sister's advice & recommend the community look no farther than Austin Natural Mattress when it comes time to improve your sleep comfort!

My family visited the store to pick out a new queen size bed. Charles was very helpful and showed us the options, and didn't try to pressure us into buying anything. The store is well organized, and it is easy to compare all the different bed and pillow options. My kids also had a great time, Charles gave them a book to read while we were testing out beds, and also let them play with one of the demo beds that could be re-shaped with a remote, which they loved.

I found this store on Google after ordering and promptly returning a Birch mattress. I had an awesome experience and love the mattress I got. Actually just went back and bought another.This place is not at all like a typical mattress store where they immediately push a $7k Tempurpedic on you. Dustin was super knowledgeable and explained in detail the mattresses I was looking at, why one was more expensive etc. He actually recommended the cheaper of the two I was considering, and it was a very reasonable price.The other important thing for me is that the mattresses DO NOT SMELL. Dustin was an exceptional salesman. We went in to store to look at the Avocado mattress. We firm believers in Consumer Reports. Avocado Green Mattress was rated #1 out of 185 reviews. He took the time to tell us all about how they are made. There was no sales pressure to buy right now. He wanted us to be well informed about this brand. There are 2 Avocado stores in Texas, one in Houston and other in Austin. Wife and I tried several different brands and we decided on the Avocado Green firm mattress, with a Avocado 2” topper. Mattress was great for wife who is a side sleeper and I sleep on my back. We were going to buy Green mattress with the built in 2” topper, but he showed us you can buy the 2” topper separately and save about 300.00. Steve Chandler was great to work with in the Houston store. He was not your typical pushy sales guy who follows you around the store. He was nice and gave you necessary information when you asked. I could tell he really cared about finding the right fit bed for you and your spouse and let you try any bed you wanted and explained everything from how many coils, amount of latex or wool a mattress had. He had one ask of his customers which was to actually sleep on the bed and see how it feels rather than just sitting on the bed. Would recommend this store and Steve if you are in the market for an organic or all natural mattress.

My boyfriend and I stopped in Sunday to look at a few mattresses and were given excellent service from Steve! He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and let us try out the mattresses at our own pace. Dustin was incredibly knowledgeable and responsive. He was able to point me in the right direction based on all the feedback I gave him about our current mattresses, likes/dislikes and also ages of our kids (best for their growth and comfort). Made what could have been a daunting experience extremely pleasant. We love our selections and will most certainly go to Houston Natural Mattress for all our mattress purchases. They are the only one in Houston that has an extensive selection of Organic and Natural products and also have the expertise to educate customers on the products. The owner Steve was very knowledgeable on the different mattress companies and mattress components. He educated us on this the components are made and which components in traditional mattresses are unhealthy/toxic to the body. He was easy to talk to and patient with all of my questions. We arrived at 10 am on a Tuesday and we were the only customers in the store for 2.5 hours which was helpful to have full use of the mattresses and the ears of the owner. We ended up ordering the Posh + Lavish brand Fusion mattress. I’m looking forward to the day that the shipment arrives at our house. I highly recommend this store if you are curious about natural mattresses.

Steve was one of most helpful and knowledge salesman I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. He dedicated 4 hours of total time with my family spanning 4 separate visits. From knowledge of chemical sensitivities to his vast personal experiences with regards to mattress and related products we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. He even offered to provide us a loaner mattress and bed frame for free while our mattress was being built. Our selection for a natural mattress company started and ended with him.

Great place to buy a natural organic mattress! We had already bought a mattress online from another manufacturer and didn't like the feel of it, so we decided to go physically try out mattresses ourselves.
